Cryonics Institute Case Report for Patient Number 263
CI patient #263 was a 76 year old female from Denmark. The patient was not a CI member at the time of her death.
The patient died on August 18, 2024. The patient’s son had her frozen at a local funeral home while funding, contracts and transportation could be arranged. Once those details were arranged, the patient was flown to Detroit Metro Airport on September 20th, 2024. The patient arrived at the CI facility at 5:40pm.
The patient was then transferred to the computer controlled cooling chamber to cool to liquid nitrogen temperature. The human dry ice program was selected and the time needed to cool the patient to liquid nitrogen temperature was 25 hours. The patient was then placed in a cryostat for long-term cryonic storage.
