Steven Lepsetz

Steven Lepsetz is a Certified Public Accountant with over 40 years of practical experience.  He had his own CPA firm for over 30 years before selling his practice.  His extensive experience includes financial consulting for clients,  preparation of financial statements, auditing,  as well having a very broad background in taxation.  His clients include both profit and not for profit entities.  He has served as the Cryonics Institute’s outside CPA for many years and has been responsible for preparing the company’s tax returns and assisting with its year-end accounting in Quickbooks.  He performed an audit on the Cryonics Institutes financial records in the past.

Mr.  Lepsetz is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Michigan Association of CPA’s.  He has both a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in Accounting from Wayne State University.  Steven is intimately familiar with the accounting records and financial position of the Cryonics Institute.  Over the years he has worked closely with Andy Zawacki and Pat Heller in that regards.  He has also served as a treasurer of his local Rotary Club and the District 6380 of Rotary International.  His background in Accounting and Taxation as well as his familiarity with the Cryonics Institute’s financial records makes him a valuable resource as a director.

Mr. Lepsetz has been interested and involved with the Cryonics Institute for many years starting with a school report on Cryonics before the first patient was cryogenically preserved.  He is a lifetime member and has a fully paid up contract with the Cryonics Institute for his own cryopreservation as well as a contract with Suspended Animation.  Steven has a vested interest and desire to help the Cryonics Institute succeed.

Apart from his financial and business activities, Steven lives in West Bloomfield, Michigan.  He was married to his wife Alice for 45 years before she passed away.  He enjoys spending time with his two children and four grandchildren.  He also enjoys sailing, going on his pontoon, bike riding, and hiking.  He has just started taking up pickleball, although he has a lot of room for improvement in that sport. He has travelled to many places around the world including to France, Italy. Israel, Egypt, Jordan, and China, among other countries.  He has also gone on safari’s in Tanzania, and Uganda and trekking with the gorillas in Rwanda.
