Cryonics Institute Case Report for Patient Number 293
CI patient #293 was a 57 year old female from India. The patient was a CI member at the time of her death, but did not have funding in place for her contract.
The patient died on June 15 2026 and was placed in dry ice by a funeral director in India. The patient’s family raised the funds to cover the patient’s cryonic suspension fee and wired the funds to CI. CI then was able to accept the patient, and the funeral director transported the patient to CI in dry ice. The patient arrived at the CI facility on August 9th, 2026.
The patient was then transferred to the computer controlled cooling chamber to cool to liquid nitrogen temperature. The human dry ice program was selected and the time needed to cool the patient to liquid nitrogen temperature was 25 hours. The patient was then placed in a cryostat for long-term cryonic storage.
