Cryonics Institute Case Report for Patient Number 267
CI patient #267 was an 83 year old female from Germany. The patient was a CI member at the time of her death.
The patient died on February 11th, 2025. Standby, perfusion and dry ice cooling services were provided by Tomorrow Biostasis.
The patient was held in dry ice while the permits for transportation were obtained. Once the permits were obtained and transport arrangements were in place, the patient was flown to Detroit Metro Airport. The patient arrived at the airport on February 20, 2025. The patient was picked up from the airport and transported to the CI facility.
The patient was then transferred to the computer controlled cooling chamber to cool to liquid nitrogen temperature. The human vitrification program was selected and the time needed to cool the patient to liquid nitrogen temperature was five days and 11 hours. The patient was then placed in a cryostat for long-term cryonic storage.
