Cryonics Institute Case Report for Patient Number 264

CI patient #264 was a 68 year old male from Germany. The patient was a CI member at the time of his death and had made arrangements with Cryonics Germany for local help.   

The patient died on October 25, 2024.  The patient was perfused in Germany.  Details will be added to this report when they are available to us.  The patient was held in dry ice in Germany until transport to the US could be arranged.  Once the details for transit were in place, the patient was transported to Detroit Metro Airport, where he was picked up and brought to the facility.  The patient arrived at the CI facility on November 5, 2024 at 5:00pm with plenty of dry ice covering him. 

The patient was transferred to the computer controlled cooling chamber to cool to liquid nitrogen temperature and the patient was then placed in a cryostat for long-term cryonic storage.
