CI 2011 Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Cryonics Institute will be held Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 2pm at the main facility, 24355 Sorrentino Court, Clinton Township, Michigan 48035. The Annual General Meeting of The Immortalist Society will immediately follow the AGM of CI on the same Sunday. Meetings generally last most of the afternoon.

CI plans to have a memorial celebration of the life of Robert Ettinger at 4 P.M. at the annual meeting. Those who would like to join in and offer their remarks should e-mail David and Connie Ettinger. For those who cannot attend, written remarks can be read at the meeting.

At the AGM the new CI Board of Directors elected in 2011 will be announced. There are six candidates running for four Director positions, to be elected by mail-in ballots mailed to Voting Members in August. The candidate profiles can be found at 2011 Cryonics Institute Director Candidates. Alcor President Max More is planning to attending CI's 2011 AGM.

For those who come early there will be a social dinner on the Saturday evening preceding the meeting. Visitors are also welcome to come to the main CI facility as early as noon on Sunday, the day of the meeting. Tours will be given to those who are interested. And after the meeting on Sunday there is a free buffet dinner.

For driving directions, use MapQuest or send e-mail to the CI Facility or phone 1-586-791-5961. The meetings are open to the general public, but we do request that we be informed ahead of time if you wish to attend (by the above e-mail address, phone number or mailing address). We need to be able to plan for the amount of food we will need for the buffet dinner and for the amount of seating required.

Meetings offer a great opportunity to see the facility, to meet other members, to get a sense of the status of the Cryonics Institute in operation and to see Officers, Directors and Staff.
